The Hollywood Connection

If the David Johnson story was a screenplay it could be pitched as a bio-pic with a Hollywood ending.

The first twenty years of his life were spent in a typical all-American household, with loving parents and an older sister. There were ten more years to go before he could resolve the ramifications of having grown up an adopted child.

Grateful as he was for the generosity of two people willing to open their home to children not their own, the nagging mystery of his birth parents became an important issue in his life. In March 1991, he finally discovered who his birth mother was: Tova Borgnine. Tova had built a tiny boutique into a cosmetics empire and married actor Ernest Borgnine. (There’s a compelling biographical chapter detailing the circumstances that led to the adoption in Tova Borgnine’s 1997 book: Being Married Happily Forever).

The reunion prompted a series of events as he was introduced to the family, friends, and co-workers who were part of the Tova Borgnine circle. He joined the company for a period of time and now pursues his interests in programming and computer graphics.

Today, Tova, Ernie, Ernie's children and David enjoy holidays and dinners regularly.
