BIO

David has chosen to blend his career as an electrical and computer engineer with that of a digital artist. He often finds surprising parallels between writing code, composing music and creating artwork.

He earned two engineering degrees at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. In 1986 he formed a band called "The Puzzlers" and then "The David Johnson Jazz Quartet" in 1989. If you would like you can listen to some of his music. He also attended the Senior Executive Program at The Columbia University School of Business in the late 90s.

David continues to expand his tool set developing programs for 3D modeling and virtual reality (see resume below). His most recent effort is TypeBlaster, a learning tool in which he applies video game technology to improve keyboard proficiency. His work has been featured in PC-World, Warner Brothers productions, and the Museum of Computer Art. Future interests include wearable systems and interface design. He is also riding the PodCasting wave, establishing an archive of talk-based interview/opinion programs on an audio site he calls South of Sunset.

David was born in Saddle Brook, New Jersey and grew up with his: father, Harry, mother, Charlotte and sister, Debbie (see The Hollywood Connection for more info).
